Our office is building on the tremendous success of our college preparation texting campaign from last academic year, and we are doing it again this spring.

Your high school juniors may sign up to receive text messages that not only assist them with the transition to their senior year, but also get them thinking about attending a UW System campus. Topics will include

  • Choosing a rigorous senior year schedule
  • Taking the ACT/SAT
  • Making the most of summer
  • Visiting campuses
  • Applying for admission
  • And more, more, more!

High school juniors may join the program by texting PREPARE to 99000. To receive all texts, students should join by March 15. Juniors will receive three texts per month from UW HELP. Messages will continue through the summer, and students may opt out at any time.

Phone numbers and names will not be sold or shared. We may use the data with UW campuses for research purposes, and to demonstrate success so that we can expand the program. Individual participants will not be identified.

In the next few days, we are mailing to your school posters that promote the program.
